E.ON ERC will foster major technological and conceptual developments using an overall system-related approach to develop sustainable concepts for highly efficient and environmentally sound energy supplies.

An der Spitze des E.ON Energy Research Centers steht Professor Rik W. De Doncker, der gleichzeitig das Forschungsgebiet „Power Generation and Storage Systems“ leitet.

Der Bereich „Applied Geophysics and Geothermal Energy“ wird von Professor Christoph Clauser geführt.

Für das Fachgebiet „Future Energy Consumer Needs and Behavior“ zeichnet Professor Reinhard Madlener verantwortlich.

Professor Dirk Müller untersucht Problemstellungen im Bereich „Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate".

Die Professur „Automation of Complex Power Systems“ wird ab Oktober 2008 von Professor Antonello Monti besetzt.
